Cleveland running back Trent Richardson hurdled the pile of players at the line of scrimmage and scored a one-yard touchdown, which extended the Browns’ lead over the Kansas City Chiefs to 17-7 with 12:28 remaining in the third quarter of play from Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Richardson’s run capped off a seven-play, 60-yard drive that took 2:32 off the third-quarter clock.
Richardson leads the team with eight rushing touchdowns and is now second on the franchise’s all-time list for the most rushing touchdowns by a Browns rookie. He is one shy of Jim Brown’s record of nine, a mark that was set back in 1957.
