Yeah, I'm torn on Weeden. While I respect McCoy, I do not think he was the long-term answer. But should we have taken a 29 year old QB (he'll be 29 a month into the season so I'm calling him 29) when we could have taken potential 12 year All-Pros like DeCastro who will now be stopping Browns d-linemen from getting to Rapistburger for those 12 years? And the ripple effect of the Weeden pick should not be overlooked. Had we taken a WR at 22 (like Stephen Hill, all 6'4" 215 lbs of him and his 29ypc average), we add a premier talent at a position of obvious need and our 4th round pick is now free to pick a DB or a better OLB prospect or another OL for even more depth and starter potential candidates to compete with Lavau and Pinkston. I love Weeden and think he has the potential to be the best QB in the division. I like his mindset better than Flacco. I like his physical talent over Dalton. And I like that he doesn't rape women like Rapistburger does. And I like that he seems to combine an ideal physical skill set with a terrific mental make-up. I just wish we could have him for 6/7 more years than we'll have him since he'll be 30 in his second year. But at QB that's obviously not as big a deal as with a RB or WR. Go Browns. Love ya Bernie.

True, Weeden has a pistol. He doesn't need laces up or down for his rocket. That, more than anything else, gives him extra tenths of a second looking down field, at a safety, at the DE's, at the HOT. However, he's still raw. Colt will play one more year then be the best kind of backup, one that started and knows game speed.

Hank Stram was a great QB. He could SELL his looks at the safety and linebackers. I remember one time he dropped the ball and still had time to throw. LBs thought he was sneaking behind the line and froze. Ozzy snuck right by them for 1st down. That's making the defense do what you want or be confused.
