Ok - saw alot of B12 games with WEEDON. One crack I have on him is HE IS NOT ELUSIVE. Go back and look at games he lost to SLOWER 18-19 yr old players on the field. HE sucks under pressure! It will be a learning curve for him the first year. Colt is a BACKUP quarterback somewhere but Cleveland better keep him around. Think about what COLT had to endure, NO RUNNING GAME, NO BLOCKING, and INJURIES and DROP PASSES from WIDEOUTS...oh by the way, a LOCK OUT last year and coaching change in his few years in the pro's. SO, don't bet the farm yet on WEEDON. HE is tall, strong arm quarterback, but again - how many have CLEVELAND had to endure without supporting cast! Weedon better get used to RAY LEWIS or MARVIN HARRISON hitting him instead of the high school kids he played for! Welcome to the big leagues Brandon Weedon so please don't get caught up in the HYPE!

Can't change the selection so with that, welcome to the Dawg Pound. Now, please do not trade McCoy. Sooner or later, Weeden is going to need some down time, probably sooner if the Browns don't address RT in R2, 2012(not with a prospect with a history of back injuries in R3-4). McCoy is better than Wallace so if the roster needs to be trimmed, then logically he should be the one to go. No matter who is at the helm... if the WR corp performs as spectacular as they did last season, in 2013 draft 6 WR's. Really, time to develope... a WR is susposed to catch the ball - period.

Big win for the Browns. They need a QB who can win now, not a project. Weeden is mature in years but is still "young" physically. The Saints got Brees in his late 20s - need I say more? The best QB is the best QB, period. Warren Moon and Jim Kelly both arrived in the NFL after their 26th birthdays as well.

Weeden was the right choice. The Dolphins reached for Tannehill and will regret the desperate decision; the Browns will be instantly better on O.

Well executed.

I actually came to the Browns website to see what the response was to their draft picks last evening. I am a Dolphin fan who was hoping that they somehow would take Weeden over Tannehill. I hole hardily agree with this article and is exactly what I have been touting to anyone that would listen. A quarterback that can help you for the next 5, 7 or even 9 years is fantastic! Weeden has the potential to be the most productive rookie quarterback this season. Congrats to the Browns, their management and fans.

Vic, I trust your opinion to the fullest! One of my 2nd to 3rd round sleepers went in the top 15, Irvin, so Heckert will have to find some other hidden gems in the 2nd and 3rd like Chase Minnifield! These two picks turn the Browns into the Colts in their heyday! Running James till you stack the box and pow deep throw! Don't even try and blitz cause you will pay every time especially if we get Hill! Go Browns!
